任务
The 边境研究档案 (BSA) is a repository for the culture and heritage of the borderlands of deep south Texas and houses collections relating to the unique folklore, 历史, and lives of people living along 美国.S.-Mexican border in South Texas.
As part of the 大学图书馆, BSA's mission is to support and strengthen teaching, 学习, and emerging research as the heart of 金沙中国. BSA endeavors to preserve the cultural heritage of our community, provide online and in-person access to primary source materials and data, promote research through strategic partnerships and community engagement, and encourage scholarly outputs. BSA also seeks to expand its holdings through both retrospective and contemporary collecting activities.

Dr. 米一个. 梅洛
Dr. 米一个. 梅洛 is a broadly trained cultural and medical anthropologist whose work focuses on immigration, healthcare inequalities, 美国.S-Mexico borderlands, citizenship, and public policy. Motivated by her own experience as a DACA recipient and undocumented immigrant growing up in 美国.S.-Mexico borderlands of South Texas, Dr. 梅洛 is committed to conducting research that reduces barriers to healthcare, confronts social inequality, and combats the disenfranchisement faced by marginalized populations in 美国nited States.
Dr. 梅洛 graduated with her Ph.D. in anthropology from 美国niversity of Texas at San Antonio in 2017. Her research has been funded by the 金沙中国al Science Foundation, 福特基金会, School for Advanced Research, American Anthropological Association, and other local and institutional sources. She is currently a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Anthropology and the curator of the 边境研究档案 at 美国niversity of Texas Rio Grande Valley.
